Golden Cheetah – Development Builds

Remember, these are "release" builds of the current development code.

Over a year in the making we bring to you Version 2.1 Release Candidate 1. This will most likely be a very short release candidate as most of the features are well bedded in all current bugs that we know of in the release have been closed.

Download the Version 2.1 Release Candidate 1 build based on commit: a78bd5d919

See http://github.com/srhea/GoldenCheetah/commits/ for the full commit history.

For Windows and Mac, version 3.0 installs into different location and the data files are in separate directories compared to version 2.x so that they don’t conflict. You need to copy/paste from your version 2 to your version 3 if you want to use your old files.

The Realtime Setup page on the WIKI has been updated for use in Version 3 with a major focus on Native ANT+. Thanks to Gareth Reeves for kick starting things along. He beat me by a few days but saved me many keystrokes.

I’ve linked to it on the right of the site as it is one of the most asked questions I get in the comments.

Sorry Mac users. THe posted build was a duplicate of the 2011-12-06 build.

Here is the correct Windows version 3.0 installer.

If you have the last build already installed then you can either re-download or you can download the following zip file, copy into your Golden Cheetah install directory and then extract the two folders with the plugins.

At this time I am unable to generate static Linux builds. The recent Strava patch introduced the need for the QtScript library. The problem is that when you have Qt built statically (which I have done) you cannot use this library and the QtWebKit library at the same time.
I have been building Qt and GoldenCheetah statically so as to allow the same executable to be used over may different Linux platforms. This is now no longer possible. I am going to attempt to learn how to use some different tools out there that may allow me to build GoldenCheetah in a dynamic way and allow for easy distribution to multiple platforms.
Until then, please use the information in INSTALL_LINUX file to build your own dynamic builds.
